Ties between the United States and the Philippines have become strained since the death of Jennifer Laude, 26 years old, on October 11th of this year. Sinn Fein Leader Gerry Adams Held on IRA Killing

Police Wednesday arrested Sinn Fein leader Gerry Adams for questioning regarding the 1972 killing of a widow attributed to the Irish Republican Army (IRA). Adams, 65, denied involvement in the kidnapping and murder of the mother of 10 in a statement shortly before he turned himself in to police.
