Hubble Scientists Find Water On Five Planets

Indications of water on five other planets have been found by two teams of scientists using the Hubble Space Telescope.  Drs. Avi Mandell and Drake Deming have both published papers in The Astrophysical Journal describing their findings. Saturday was a day of upsets and upheaval in U.S. college football, resulting in drastic changes to the BCS Bowl Championship Series standings.  The resulting changes have made this week’s upcoming games more important, as many teams are still looking for bowl slots to compete in. Kobe Bryant Extends Millions Two More Years

Kobe Bryant of the Los Angeles Lakers signed a two year extension of his contract on Nov. 25, 2013.  While the official amount has not been disclosed by Bryant, ESPN revealed that a source had quoted 48.5 million dollars for the two year term. Florida’s Trey Radel Receives Only Probation For Cocaine

Rep. Trey Radel (R-Florida) announced on Nov.20, 2013 that he will take a leave of absence from his office and seek treatment for an addiction after receiving probation for possession of cocaine.  Radel, 37, had allegedly purchased 3.5 grams of cocaine from an undercover Washington D.C. police officer on Oct. 29.  In a press release on his website, Radel apologized to his family and constituents for his actions and blamed his alcoholism for his poor decision. “I’m profoundly sorry to let down my … [Read more...]
